I love this scene, but I'm really happy it didn't end up in the film. I think the one they used was more satisfying. Im 41 yrs old woman. I watched this movie with a mind of 10 years old me. I get it. At that age, everything that we see is larger than life. Love this movie so much. I work at a theatre and without fail, everytime I worked this screening, I made a point to be in the theatre to watch the audience reaction to the last scene. There is something magical about seeing a bunch of stranger happy cry. I adore this movie. Such a great callback to when his mother said u dance to show ur free. Plus at the start JoJo is very nervous and anxious about going to the Nazi camp but convinces himself he has to go whereas at the end he's happy and smiling and doing what he really wants to. Also what a choice for a song. Taika is a true legend. His follow up to Ragnarok was always going to be telling and the man has proven he's gonna be doing this for a long time.
Ugh, this movie is ingeniously beAutiful. I agree with Roman, theres no genre for this. Its created another genre. I love what Taika did with Elsa, that he didnt make her a cliched ‘pitiable character. Hitler and the Nazis were simply genius, and the use of Rebel Wilson, Who is usually used as a tropey cast away character, really turned it around with her, such a refreshing view of her style of comedy! Also. didnt think I would say this but Sam Rockwell is my favourite Nazi lol.

After the quarantine 2020. Plot twist it really was hitler and Jojo force choked him. More than once in the cinema people, and myself, would say YORKIII when he entered the screen. A small character but a god damn amazing and wholesome one. Went in expecting to laugh, came out with a tear in my eye. He deserved a nomination for this performance... This film combines two of the most intense human emotions, to laugh, and to cry, under the all encompassing supreme emotions, to live life and to love.

When he started chasing the butterfly, that hurt. Ok the few scenes you showed of yorkie (or jorkie, I have no idea) is all Ive seen of him but that boy is wonderful I love him.
